Steelworker's Day

On 13th May 2016 the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals celebrated the Steelworker’s Day. The Institute’s Director, professor Zbigniew Śmieszek gave a formal speech on the importance of cooperation between science and industry, which was an introduction to the award ceremony for significant achivements in this matter.
Speaking of the Steelworker’s Day, it is worth reminding that the patron hallow of Austria, Bolonia, Cracow, steelworkers, firefighters and chimney sweepers is Saint Florian.
